How it started
7 Pines started in 2017 with a defining idea: to build homes that are well thought out, built to last, and made with purpose. From the beginning, the idea wasn’t just to build for today—but to build for the future.
My wife and I moved to Tampa, Florida, looking for a fresh start and new opportunities. That move led me to discover a real passion for construction. At first, I focused on fixing up old homes—many of them in rough shape or even condemned. Over time, I realized it wasn’t just about building houses, but doing it the right way. I became interested in the science behind how homes work and how to make them better, stronger, and more efficient.
That interest grew into a full-time commitment. Today, we spend just as much time learning about building science, materials, and new methods as we do actually building. For us, being a builder means more than managing subcontractors. It means understanding every part of the process and making smart choices to create better homes.
The name 7 Pines comes from our family ranch in East Texas. At the entrance stood seven pine trees next to a white picket fence. This ranch was the heart of our family for generations, offering us a special place to all come together. When it came time to name the company, it felt right to choose something that reminded me of home and the value of family.
